About Easter Seals UCPgirl in fountant

On January 1, 2004 Easter Seals UCP North Carolina was established as a result of a merger between Easter Seals North Carolina and UCP of North Carolina. Easter Seals and United Cerebral Palsy have a 65-year history providing supports and services to people with disabilities and mental health challenges in North Carolina. In 2004, Easter Seals North Carolina, Inc. and United Cerebral Palsy of North Carolina, Inc. merged to become Easter Seals UCP North Carolina, Inc. In 2009, we expanded our service reach into Virginia, creating Easter Seals UCP Virginia, Inc. Together, Easter Seals UCP North Carolina and Easter Seals UCP Virginia provide high-quality supports and services to people managing disabilities and mental health challenges.

Easter Seals UCP serves a broad range of people with disabilities, such as people with cerebral palsy, autism, spina bifida, intellectual disabilities, muscular dystrophy, stroke, spinal cord injuries, head injuries, hearing and visual impairments and mental health diagnoses.

Easter Seals UCP has accreditations from the Council on Quality and Leadership and CARF, two bodies which promote the creation of opportunities for people to lead the lives they choose and to improve the quality of services and supports for people with disabilities. Easter Seals UCP has CQL accreditation in both North Carolina and Virginia; Easter Seals UCP has CARF accreditation in North Carolina.

Easter Seals UCP North Carolina and Easter Seals UCP Virginia are lifelong partners to people managing disabilities and mental health challenges.  Services are centered around each person’s individual needs to live, learn and participate fully in his or her community.
